What this site is all about

You may find this hard to believe but some people simply do not understand what this site is all about!

Some people of the religious persuasion seem to think that this site is serious.

Duhh!

Yes, the people responsible for this site do know the classic proofs/disproofs of god - but those arguments have been around since the year dot (certainly before Christianity and Islam reared their ugly, vicious, humanity-denying heads) and, to be quite honest, if you don't know what they are you have no right to consider yourself religious. Ask your RE teacher/priest/scholar/holy man/guru.

A parody, a parallel - complete in every detail

This site defines a perfectly valid religion. It has all the elements that make up any religion: Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hinduism etc.

• A creator god - The Pink Hippo
• Holy books - "The Book of the Pink Hippo", "Revelations of The Pink Hippo"
• A prophet - The Messenger
• Splits and schisms: the Literalist and Interpretist churches of The Pink Hippo
• A pocket-lining hierarchy of priests and scholars
• Prejudice and discrimination against women and homosexuals.
• A desire to indoctrinate children in religiously segregated faith schools.
• All the other usual religious mumbo-jumbo and nonsense

The serious point

If you reject the religion of The Pink Hippo - you must logically reject all others.

The evidence for The Pink Hippo (and all its trappings) is exactly the same as the evidence for the other 800+ gods and 100+ religions/sects kicking around in the world today.

Get a life! Free your mind! Dump god! Feel good about yourself!
